Stanford in Japan Godo Kaisha

The Stanford in Japan Godo Kaisha, was incorporated on November 24, 2015 (the “Godo Kaisha or GK”) under the Japan Companies Act, 2005. It is responsible for the administrative support for Stanford’s undergraduate study abroad program in Japan.

Relationship to Stanford

A subsidiary of Stanford University Global LLC (“SU Global LLC”). SU Global LLC is a California registered single member LLC of the Leland Stanford Junior University, established to facilitate Stanford’s global activities.

The Godo Kaisha is represented by two members: one from Financial Management Services (Global Business Services) and a one from the Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education who serves as the local Director for the Bing Overseas Studies Program in Japan.
