As Stanford University expands its global footprint to make the world a better place, GBS partners with faculty and administrative staff to deliver business solutions that safeguard, enable, and accelerate international programs, projects, and initiatives.

GBS Services

GBS provides the following services to Stanford, it’s global affiliates and the university community:

• United States-related compliance reporting of Stanford’s business-related international transactions (e.g. IRS filings (990 Schedule F, 5471, 8858, 3520-trust returns), Dept of Education Foreign Gift & Contract reporting, Dept of Commerce BE-125+ reporting, OECD Country-by-Country reporting, tax filings for indirect taxes due in foreign jurisdictions e.g. EU VAT, UK, VAT, India OIDAR GST)
• Global business operations: Entity-level support of global entities (governance, entity-level management, including accounting systems, internal control systems, financial statements and audits, tax compliance, transfer pricing and oversight)
• Global business advisory services: Global mobility (working outside of the US), international independent contractors, difficult international payments, US tax residency certificates
