Fundación Stanford en Chile (the “Foundation”)

The Fundacion Stanford en Chile was incorporated on 30 September 2019 (the “Foundation”) and is subject to the rules set out in Title 33 of Book 1 of the Civil Code (of 1855 as amended) and Act 20,500 on Associations and Citizen Participation in Public Management of October 2011. It is responsible for the administrative support for Stanford’s undergraduate study abroad program in Chile.

Relationship to Stanford

The Foundation is a subsidiary of Stanford University Global, LLC ("SU Global LLC") and Leland Stanford Junior University ("Stanford University"). SU Global LLC is a single member LLC of Stanford University, established to facilitate Stanford's global activities.

Governance

The Foundation’s Board of Directors consists of a local director (who serves as the Executive Director of the Bing Overseas Studies Program, Chile) and three at Stanford University (one from the Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education who serves as the Faculty Director for the Bing Overseas Studies Program, one from the Bing Overseas Studies Program, and one from Financial Management Services (Global Business Services.))
