The Bing Overseas Studies Program (BOSP) in Italy was established in 1960. Further to a ministerial decree granted on 1 March 1990, it received tax exempt status and on 5 September 2001, it registered with the Ministero dell’Istruzione dell’ Università e della Ricerca to operate as a not-for-profit institution in Italy. It is responsible for the administrative support for Stanford’s undergraduate study abroad in Italy.
