Charlene’s key responsibilities include supporting programs and faculty in their global reach, providing advice regarding tax risk and opportunities and structuring options, including analysis on the need to create legal presence and the form of legal entity. She also provides business consulting and operational support for Stanford’s many international activities and projects.
Charlene joined Stanford in 2015 with 13 years of Public Accounting and industry experiences specializing in International Tax. She provided tax advice to clients in a wide variety of industries while in public accounting. While in industry, she advised cross-functional teams on international tax issues and managed complex IP restructuring projects. She received a Master of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
